Jeff Horrocks has worked with youth of all ages for over twenty years. He and his wife, Jennifer, also have five of their own children.  Jeff is a very active entrepreneur involved in multiple businesses.  After spending much of 2007 working in the inner city of Philadelphia and the surrounding region, he began to realize many people were just going through life without clear goals or Targ-Its to aim toward.  Taking his personal experiences and research of others, he created the Targ-It Project to help people influence and motivate themselves in order to better themselves, their families, their neighbors, and the community in which they live.

 Single parent homes and homes with one or both parents working long hours, hampers the quality time and energy to consistently teach and train our youth.  This plan was developed to help teach and train students they can accomplish great things if they put their mind to it.  Students can do the project individually, with parents, grandparents, schools, youth groups, or with other community and mentoring groups.  The Targ-It project helps your relationships get right to the point of personal development.
 Based on the consumer goods industry, 17 billion dollars were spent in 2007 marketing products to children and teens in the United States.  This is a dramatic increase, from previous years, in marketing to this age group.  If marketing didn't work for the business sector to influence and motivate this age group, the business community would not be spending this kind of money.

 Marketing provides consistent placement and recognition of a brand. This technique influences and motivates both consciously and sub-consciously into branding power.  The visual brand recognition promotes action or change to fulfill the desired personal goals.
About the Targ-It Project

The Targ-It Project has been developed to teach you how to influence and motivate yourself in order to help you reach your goals.  It's not about anyone else.  At this moment, it's simply about you and the goals you are aiming to accomplish in your life.  You will be setting personal Targ-It goals for the next twelve months.  These goals are yours and the success to achieve these goals are up to you!

The Targ-It Project is based upon two factors that can and do influence you daily.  These influencing factors are written goals and marketing.  This project  uses these two factors to help you set, remember, and reach your goals.

 Based on a Harvard Business School study, people with written goals achieve more and have a higher rate of success.

 Psychologist, Alfred Alder taught that goals are necessary for individuals and society in general.  He stated, "The goal provides guidelines for motivation, shaping our psychological development and giving it an aim."
